Is it sunrise or sunset in America?
My brother has a condo at Perdido in Florida and my wife and I just returned from a visit. Wonderful weather, cool in the evening and warm enough in the daytime to swim. The views are beautiful and the beaches are clean. It restores my spirit to see what a wonderful country we have.
Is everything perfect in Florida and in America? Of course not. The number of condos on the beach and elsewhere are overwhelming and most of them are empty or underwater financially. And don’t mention the boats in the numerous marinas and most of them are for sale at a big discount. Americans want their leisure and they want it now. They seem to have forgotten how this wealth came about and the values that will preserve this land of opportunity. Hard work, education and high moral values.
Meanwhile we see young people in the streets calling for the end of capitalism. These are our children and when you ask them what will replace capitalism and our constitution, they do not seem to have an answer. And when they say SOCIALISM OR COLLECTIVISM or worse, I ask them to give me an example of where these systems have been successful. There is never an answer.
Where have these young people gotten these ideas? They are supposed to be well educated and they have pieces of paper that certify that they have degrees from very well-known and expensive institutions. Then it dawns on me that therein lay the problem. These well- known institutions are teaching these young people lies and getting us to pay for the service. It is time that we call them to explain this educational fraud. We need to stop tenure for these professors and teachers and hold them accountable for the lack of real education for our children.
The time has come for a real change in America and for us to go back to our founder’s values, our morals and the ethics of hard work and financial sanity. I believe people are waking up to the problem and we will see a bright sunrise for America.
